The Percheron is a light cargo transport and passenger shuttle in widespread use across the Terran Empire. Ruggedly built, the Percheron is able to carry large assembled freight items and 10 passengers from planetary bases to orbital stations, and even as a ferry between the larger capital ships of the fleet. The Percheron can be operated by up to 3 crew, with a pilot and two engineers who can perform repairs and operate the gun turrets.

The Percheron has two decks: the lower deck hosts the entry airlock, as well as a compartment for 10 passengers. Some modified Percheron transports replace these seats with additional large cargo pods, or large hydrogen tanks. Civilians have also made it into tidy living quarters. The upper deck hosts engineering, life support, two crew stations, and the cockpit.

The Percheron is defended by 3 automated turrets, and can serve as a dropship delivering troops and medical aid to a battlefield, and of course as the requisite workhorse of the Imperial Navy.
