Realistic Water & Soil Management

Realistic Water & Soil Management (RWSM) brings a comprehensive simulation of weather, soil water balance, irrigation, soil compaction, plant roots, weed competition, and yield calculation to Farming Simulator. The weather system is based on real climate data from 39 countries, including all 16 German federal states with regional profiles. Precipitation is stored and continuously feeds into the soil water balance. Highlights:

• Three-layer soil water balance (topsoil, root zone, subsoil) with calculation of field capacity, saturation, infiltration, drainage, and waterlogging
• Four soil types with individual properties for load-bearing capacity, compaction sensitivity, and mud threshold
• Bauer Rainstar T32 with up to 220 m hose, automatic retraction, pivoting irrigation sector, and adjustable pump pressure (3.5–11.0 bar)
• Diesel pump with 450-liter tank and groundwater intake – water is directly absorbed into the soil rather than being a visual effect only
• Crop-specific simulation with optimal moisture range, root depth, nitrogen demand, and temperature limits for over 20 crops
• Soil compaction through vehicle traffic depending on wheel load, tire pressure, slip, and soil moisture
• Realistic yield calculation based on all soil and root factors
• Full Precision Farming compatibility and Water-Soil API for other mods
• Server-authoritative calculation for smooth multiplayer operation
