The Colonial Defense Force was created to police frontier worlds and provide a modicum of order for mostly independent planets. After the Sabiroid Infestation wiped out many outer region worlds and left many more infested with zomboid hosts, the CDF began deploying AI Militia Units to purge infested planets and protect any remaining colonists still struggling to survive.
