Design Kit

This addon enhances design options, specifically for placeable objects. By default, placeables only have one color configuration, with design configurations managed through the solar panel configuration. This mod adds 8 additional color and design configurations, and more can be added via the modDesc file.

Key Features:

• 8 extra pre-registered color configurations (<thColor1Configurations> - <thColor8Configurations>).
• 8 extra pre-registered design configurations (<thDesign1Configurations> - <thDesign8Configurations>).
• Support for adding more configurations through modDesc.
• Reconfiguration of placeables after placement (with some game limitations).
• Precision mode for more accurate placement, including slower movement/zoom, increased minimum zoom, and disabled camera collision.
• Configuration limit raised from 127 to 1023.
• Shader parameters beyond colorScale0 are supported.

Important Notes:

• It is recommended to use the vanilla color configuration for the first selectable color and reserve the Design Kit for additional options. This ensures compatibility without this mod and console usability.
• Configurations typically apply when a placeable first loads; a game restart may be required for certain features.

Known Issues:

• Color wheel changes may not display the price in the menu, but the cost is still applied.
• Limitations with reconfiguring placeables after placement.

Controls:

• Right Shift + ? for reconfiguring existing placeables.
• Right Shift + P to toggle precision mode.
