How to use female or pro gear on the male
This works both ways

First you need to go into this folder
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Easy Day Studios\SkaterXL\Players

Inside that folder you will find 2 .json files named:
Customization_female
Customization_male

You can also find the pro skaters clothing in:
Customization_brandonwestgate
Customization_evansmith
Customization_tiagolemos
Customization_tomasta

For them to show up, you must have changed their clothing ingame atleast once.

If you open these files with notepad, you can see the gear you currently have equipped for the respective skaters.

For this example we're gonna make our male skater use the Short Ponytail hairstyle, but this works for pretty much all clothing items.
(NOTE:) Make sure you have the gear you want use equipped on their respective skater

Copy this part from the Customization_female;

and paste it at the same place in the Customization_male file.

Save and overwrite the file you edited.

Next time you start the game, your male skater will have the Short Ponytail as their hairstyle.
